Hurcott Pool

Hurcott Pool is part of the Hurcott Pools and Wood Local Nature Reserve run by Wyre Forest District Council. It incorporates the largest area of SSSI wet woodland in the county. The reserve covers 50 hectares between the A449 and the A456, Birmingham Road. The reserve has some pasture land which is the habitat for the rare Hornet robberfly Asilus crabroniformis
The wood has Sweet Chestnuts, Hickory and Larch and is the largest Alder and Willow carr in the county.
